How to Register a Private Limited Company in Pakistan (2026 Guide)

Registering a private limited company in Pakistan has become remarkably simple thanks to the SECP online portal. Whether you are a solo founder or a group of partners, incorporation can be completed in a matter of days when your documents are in order.

The first step is name reservation. You can reserve up to three names in one application, and the SECP typically approves a suitable name within 24 hours. Make sure the name is unique and does not clash with an existing registered entity.

Once your name is approved, you need to prepare the Memorandum and Articles of Association. These documents define the share capital, objectives, and internal rules of your company. Most consultants prepare these for you using standard SECP-compliant templates.

After filing the incorporation documents and paying the registration fee, the SECP will verify your submission. Once verified, you will receive your Certificate of Incorporation along with the Company Identification Number (CIN).

Finally, you should register for NTN with the FBR, obtain your sales tax registration if your turnover requires it, and open a corporate bank account. With the right checklist, the entire process takes no more than a week.
